In her role as Executive Editor, Sarah helps shape the stories that inform, challenge, and connect our region. She will offer a behind-the-scenes look at how journalism can elevate critical community conversations, spotlight underreported issues, and play a meaningful role in driving awareness and understanding across the St. Louis region.

Backed by support from the James S. McDonnell Foundation, the Economic Mobility Lab represents a new commitment to examining how opportunity is created and expanded throughout our region. Through in-depth reporting and sustained coverage, the Lab explores the real-world factors that influence economic mobility — from education and workforce development to access, equity, and long-term growth — with the goal of informing, engaging, and strengthening our community.

This luncheon is ideal for business leaders, employers, nonprofit professionals, educators, and community advocates who are interested in workforce development, economic opportunity, and the long-term vitality of our region. Attendees will leave with a greater appreciation for the role of local journalism in shaping meaningful dialogue and inspiring collaborative solutions.
